Biography
Prof. Dr. Sam Verboven is Assistant Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel at the department of Business Technology and Operations (BUTO). His research is focused on developing analytical tools and algorithms that take into account the operational context, domain expertise, and business requirements of the application at hand. Specifically, he has been working on causal machine learning and multi-task learning in finance, HR, marketing, and healthcare.
